- We can't tell from the recounting of the story above. But imagining what it
- was like there, I would guess the punks probably turned when they heard the
- victim scramble for the gun. Their own guns would still be in their hands,
- presenting a situation where it would be reasonable to fire on them. The
- nature of a situation where the felon is holding a gun should naturally
- cause one to fear for your life.

- Usually, if police do not file charges, everything was clear to them (
- assuming professionals, of course ). When something is unclear, they tend
- to refer the case to the District Attorney. At least that is how things are
- supposed to work.
