-
- ...nah. That one's _too_ easy. ;-)
-
- #I saw today in a sporting goods store, a new Glock .45 for $425,
- #when $430 is the best I've seen from any wholesalers.
- #Some G19s and 17s were going for $399, when $395 is the best I've
- #seen wholesale.
- #How can anyone make any money at this rate? It seems impossible.
- # The only answer that makes any sense, is that Glock, or
- #their distributers, offer steep discounts for volume.
-
- Bingo!
- Volume sales, m'boy, volume sales. It works that way no matter what
- you're selling. If you get a volume rating from the factory, you get
- a lower wholesale price because, while you're not making as much money
- at a pop, you're moving more of the merchandise.
-
- Which is why the crappiest gun stores have the lowest prices...
