  24. When you typed "M14/M-1", did you mean the M-14 and the semi-auto civilian 
  25. version, the M-1A, or the original M-1 Garand?  The last info I had from the
  26. gov'ment specifically exempted the M-1 Garand from the restricted category,
  27. probably on the grounds that the 8-rd. clip was un-alterable.  I'm rather 
  28. concerned as I informally collect WWII vintage rifles and I'm rather proud of
  29. my M-1.  I'd hate to see it melted down.
