- Buy an SKS for the barn, an SKS for the pickup, and SKS for the car,
- an SKS for *each* tractor, a couple for the house, a few just to have
- around, etc. They're cheap, reliable, easy to shoot, easy to carry,
- adequate for any hunting chore that would normally go to a 30-30,
- the cheapest to feed of any centerfire rifle, etc. Buy ammo in bulk,
- several thousand rounds at a time, you'll use it.
-
- As to the Norinco M-14, avoid this junk like the plague. The Mini-14
- is ok if you can stomach Mr. Bill, but accuracy is nothing to write
- home about, your SKS will do at least as well. Better would be to
- buy an AR Sporter. Ammo for these is also cheap, and accuracy is
- adequate, and prices have been falling recently. Better still, get
- a Match HBar. It's still cheap to feed, and you can hit things with
- it.
