  23. Someone jumps out in front of me with a brick and throws it at my
  24. windshield, I'm going to lean over onto the passenger seat so that
  25. the dash shields me from {glass, brick, stuff} and my foot is going
  26. to push the gas pedal to the floor...   He will either: 1) be run
  27. over since he was close enough to throw the brick and right in front. or
  28. 2)  be scared shitless as this car goes flying past him.

  30. I think I'll have some very good chance of hitting some other parked
  31. car, but I hope that I'll be able to recover enough to avoid a direct
  32. incapacitating (to the car) hit.  What would then follow would be a
  33. series of quick glances out the window to keep moving enough to get
  34. out of gun range, while mostly keeping my head down...

  36. Ought to make one heck of a mess one way or the other ...  should get
  37. a fair amount of attention ...  may get me killed ... but I'm not
  38. going to submit to any armed thug.  I've got a 2000 lb bullet, and I'm
  39. going to use it!

  41. In the scenario you stated, the perp ought to end up crushed between
  42. my car and the mini-van ...  I would then hit reverse and do a 180 as
  43. soon as I could.  I should have about 5 miles before the lack of a
  44. radiator takes out my engine ...

  46. Do most car jackers use a 9mm?  And what level of threat is a 9mm after
  47. passing through the sheet metal of a car?  (i.e. is it still likely to
  48. be lethal after passing through {hood at a grazing angle, dash materials,
  49. etc...)?
