- Questions I have for you are:
- 1) What varieties are you growing? Have you chosen disease resistant (VFN)
- varieties? Determinate or indeterminate?
- 2) How are you irrigating? How often and how long? I think this might be
- the problem. Tomatoes will do better with deep watering that is less
- frequent, not letting them dry out.
- 3) Do you have any signs of blossom end rot? A blackening on the blossom
- side; this would be more indicative of an irrigation or calcium problems
- 4)Are you having problems with any other plants? Where in southern
- California? Malibu or El Centro? Palm Springs or Escondido?
- 5)When do you plant?
- 6)Have you amended your marl?
