  10.     Well, it's the end of a year, so I thought I'd make some predictions
  11. for next season's INL.
  12.  
  13.     The INL council will adopt a modified version of Tom's scheduling
  14. proposal.  At the end of the season, a number of teams in the top and
  15. middle brackets will be upset, and a flame-war will insue.  This won't
  16. amount ot much.
  17.     The INL council will adopt a more scattered popping code instead of the
  18. current 40 second code.
  19.  
  20. Teams:
  21.     Rob "Spaceace" Hill's all-star team will win the championship match.  
  22.     Other dominating teams will include, TWNN (possibly with a new name), a
  23. team from SC, a team from Berkeley (probably named Golden Bears), Old
  24. McDonald's Farm, and the Illuminatus Cartel (possibly under a new name).
  25.     If there is a third CMU team, they will be much weaker than the top
  26. two, but still in the top half.
  27.     Lag U and 12AM will leaders in the middle bracket.
  28.     UTexas will have trouble getting enough strong players for a team.  By
  29. adding a few non-UTexas players, they will be almost as strong a this
  30. year's HB.
  31.     Several European teams will enter the INL.  They will all do badly, but
  32. improve a lot during the season.
  33.     Members for this year's Farm League East will form a new team.  After
  34. picking up s few players to replace lost players, they will dominate the
  35. lower division.
  36.     MIT, RPI, CU Boulder, KSU, Harvard and UNC Chapel Hill will all find
  37. themselves to have a few too few players for a full team.  @ large teams
  38. will get a lot of players from these spots.
  39.     Australia will hold off on entering a team for another semester,
  40. waiting for a better Net link.  They will enter a team for the Summer
  41. (Winter:) INL.
  42.  
  43. Players:
  44.     Guru and The Exodus will end up on the same team.  They may be
  45. co-captains, or Guru may be sole captain.
  46.     CrackPot will play for TWNN.
  47.     Chi will not be on a CMU team.
  48.     Warlock will play for 12AM.
  49.     Duck Dodgers will swear that he will never play netrek again.  He will
  50. play for Lagg U, and will miss very few games.
  51.     Yupa and Hiemdal will sub in for so many games that the INL council
  52. will be asked to adopt new subbing rules.
  53.     Ged will finally meet Balton, and think he's a nice guy.
  54.     MUCUS PIG will make a post on RGN.  This will turn out to be a forgery.
