- I just recieved _The_Go_Player's_Almanac_ for Yule, and I read about
- Kiyoshi Shirayanagi's YUGO computer go program. According to the book,
- it is based on fundamentally different ideas than Dragon, Nemisis,
- Goliath, Many Faces of Go, or any of the other available computer go
- programs, trying to use the same concepts as human players to play the
- game. Shirayanagi apparantly wrote the game as a research project.
-
- I have not been able to find mention of this program in the FAQ, nor
- have I heard of it before. What I'd like to know is is it available in
- any form? What has been written about it? Does anyone know anything
- about it?
-
- The techniques the article described for it intrigue me. I want to
- learn more about it.
-
- Thank you for your assistance.
