  11. When does the archive at Soda get updated for this newsgroup?  I am in 
  12. the process of updating my warrior library and will be collecting all
  13. of the warriors ever posted to this newsgroup.  The last archive put 
  14. at Soda was in March.  Who is in charge of this archive and when will
  15. it get updated next?

  17. When I finish with my warrior library, I will be sure to announce it
  18. and place it out on FTP.  It will be compatible with IBM PC's (this means
  19. that I will have to truncate some filenames) and will all be very
  20. organized.  I think I will have them sorted as follows:
  21.     rec.games.corewar posting, valentine tournament, some of my own,
  22.     various years of ICWS tournaments (all separated by year), and 
  23.     finally the traditional warriors (dwarf, imp, etc).

  25. My intention is to make these warriors easily accessable to my impending
  26. release of the next version of Core Wars Deluxe.  The new version will
  27. allow you to specify a list of paths (in a config file even) that will
  28. guarentee you that if it could not find the given warrior in the current
  29. directory, then it will search your warrior patch and use the first 
  30. warrior it finds that matches what you supplied on the command line.
  31. This will make it easier to sort your warriors when developing new ones
  32. to test against the vast arsenal of what you have already collected.

  34. Incedentally... there will be about 200 warriors in this collection. 
  35. They will all be unmodified from the original posting.  The ones I 
  36. have collected from other sources will be left unmodified by me, but
  37. I cannot guarentee that they weren't modfied before I got them to 
  38. begin with.
