- There are a number of card clubs in the L.A. metro/suburban area..
- mostly in Gardena (where the Normandie Club is), and there's another
- one in uh.. I think City of Commerce, or City of Industry or perhaps
- one in each. Yes, they are only card clubs. Although their teevee
- ads make them look like full blown casinos (odd camera angles,
- blinking twinkling exterior and interior shots of light displays,
- blurbs for "full buffet lunch and dinner blah blah etc." they allow
- only card games, mainly poker and variations thereupon. A lot of
- folks still refer to these places as "the poker clubs."

- in one of them myself.
