-
- Yes, C^2 and Frontier both have a few $1 min single-deck games.
- But, you'll have to wait awhile to get at them. I don't think that
- Binions's has any $1 minimum BlackJack at all, although $2 min is
- prevalent on single deck there. The Plaza (formerly Union Plaza)
- downtown (near Binion's) also has a $1 minimum single-deck game.
- The Golden Nugget also has $1 minimum games at either single or
- double deck. Almost all other casinos downtown will offer *some*
- game at $2 minimum.
-
- Other suggestions...Let's see...You asked about "decent" blackjack
- games. You didn't mention whether or not you care about the
- "countability" of the game. If you don't care about that, you might
- be interested in the 6-deck games at the Mirage and the Las Vegas
- Hilton. They allow Double After Split, and Late Surrender. The
- dealer must stand on Soft 17, also. These games were available at
- $3 minimum (even occasionally $2 minimum) during December.
-
- You can also find a $1 single-deck game at Slots-a-Fun, but you are
- limited to doubling down only on 10 or 11, and they will shuffle up
- faster than the speed of light if you more than double your bet from
- round to round.
-
- An entertaining game to play at $2 or $3 minimum is the 6-deck game
- at the Las Vegas Club, downtown. They allow you to double down on
- any two OR THREE cards even after splitting, plus late surrender.
- Also, any 6-card hand wins. The dealer hits soft 17, however. This
- game is not interesting to card counters, though, since they shuffle
- with 3 decks remaining unseen.
-
- Excalibur has a $2 minimum single-deck game, where the dealer STANDS
- on soft 17, and you are restricted to doubling on 9, 10, or 11.
- Be careful with this one, however. I've had mixed experience with
- it. Some dealers will preferentially shuffle away decks that are
- player-advantageous. Some do not. Watch yourself.
-
- They have a going-out-of-business sale at the Dunes, too. $2
- minimum single-deck, but unfortunately the have the
- double-on-10-or-11-only, dealer-hits-soft-17 rule as well. The same
- game is also available at the Sahara at $3 minimum. But, at least
- it *is* single-deck.
-

-
- Yes.

-
- Harrah's is simply the new name for the old "Holiday Casino" on the
- Strip, roughly across the street from The Mirage and Caesars Palace.
- It's the steamboat-shaped thing. Their blackjack game is relatively
- stinky. Oodles of 6-deck tables, and a paltry few double-deck games
- at which the dealer hits soft 17. $5 minimum, typically. The same
- game can be found (and better dealt) downtown, for a lower minimum bet.
