- I live in Mass. now, but I'm FROM Kentucky and was just there over
- Christmas. You don't say in your post what kind of riding or horse
- enthusiast your friend is, or if that's even important--but if it is
- important, the mountains of eastern Ky are not the best place to go.
- I'd choose some place in between Louisville and Lexington (I'm from
- Louisville and an avid hunter/jumper rider). Places like Shelbyville
- and Versailles have country atmosphere but tons of quality stables
- (and not just hunter/jumper--but dressage, eventing, saddle seat,
- western, and of course racing). They're not "rustic" though if
- that's what your friend is really looking for.
