  12. Thanks to everyone who responded to my request for help about Doug's kicking.
  13. It appears that no one has had any bad experience using kicking chains and as
  14. it isn't possible for me to implement the other clever solutions proposed... I
  15. purchased a kicking chain and it appears to have turned the trick.  The chain
  16. is attached to a cuff lined in sheepskin so his pastern is well protected.
  17. Doug has stopped kicking (he isn't stupid).  After a few days, I'll remove the
  18. cuff and see if he has learned not to kick.  If he starts up again, I'll put the
  19. cuff back on until he learns that as long as he going to kick he'll have to
  20. wear the cuff.
