  13.   The Elvis stamps go on sale at all U.S. Post Offices (well, actually
  14. just the ones that care to sell them...) at noon on Jan. 8, 1993.  The
  15. First-Day ceremonies will be an all-day (at least) affair in Memphis,
  16. TN on Jan. 8th.  It is unusal for stamps to be sold everywhere on the
  17. first day.  This and the fact that the USPS has prepared many times
  18. the normal amount of these stamps are a result of popular demand.  I
  19. think I also read that the Elvis stamp will be re-released later in
  20. 1993 as part of a set of other musicians stamps.
