  17. Does anybody else here think that a collection of weather, trail and 
  18. avalanche condition phone numbers for major climbing areas would make
  19. a good FAQ for rec.climbing? I'm willing to compile the list from net
  20. readers, and then forward on to Eugene to add on to the existing FAQs.

  25.    directly<< at one of the addresses at the bottom of this posting.

  27.  - Put the words WEATHER INFO (note all caps) in the Subject: line of 
  28.    the email you're sending me.

  30.  - In the body of the message, use the form

  32. State/Province<tab>Nearest Town<tab>Area name and type of information
  33. (eg, "Adirondack trail conditions")<tab>phone number including area code
  34. <carriage return>

  36.    on a line by itself. Using this form will make it much easier for me to
  37.    compile the responses. If you have any additional information, put it
  38.    on separate lines.

  40. Don't send me the Gunks number or the ADK trail condition number; I
  41. already have them. Also, isn't the weather service telnetable with on-line
  42. forecasts? If someone will send along the information for this, I'll 
  43. include it in the FAQ.
