- For warmer climbing hit the Indian Cove Area... (Its out of the main
- monument) but it is at a lower elevation and will be warmer.
-
- 2 of the best routes I've done are in Johnson (aka Cove) Canyon about
- a 20 minute hike. I dont remember the names but they were rated 5.7
- and 5.9 and both over 100' long. Neat place to go when every thing
- else is crowded.
-
- Moosedog Tower has a couple of good multipitch lines on it. Try the
- stuff on Pixie Rock, and BillBoard Butress. If you dont have the
- large Vogel guide check out the Bartlett guide to just the Indian Cove
- area. It will get you to most of the routes.
-
- The best climbing IN in the main monument but when we were there
- around thanksgiving we spent 2 days climbing in Indian Cove because of
- the weather conditions. Also it is not as windy there...
