- I have endured the true UK sea climbing initiation rite. Unfortunately.
- On Green Cormorant Face (E2 or E3 ?) near Bosigran, after doing the hard
- bits, romped up the 4c pitch, was mantling onto a ledge, looked up and
- was face to face with a LARGE seagull which was reared back with wings
- spread and an evil look in its eye. Those things are big and scary.
- It waited a crucial half second while I tried to remember whether it
- was seagulls or swans that could break bones just by pecking, and
- then threw up its entire fish dinner at me - a green jet of *stinking*
- fish oil and digestive fluids - from a range of about 2'. All over my
- favourite J-Tree T-shirt. Fastest downclimb ever!
-
- I washed it 5, yes *5* times (even tried Radion for those UK readers!)
- and it still smelt strongly of fish. After that, washed it with swarfega
- and it smelt of....swarfega! Its ok now after a few more washes, but a
- bit threadbare!
-
- I guess that this has happened to many people around the world!
