- I ride almost daily with a bunch of A-category racers and wannabes (who me?)
- and there's an unwritten rule that everyone must wave to other cyclists we meet
- no matter who they are or what they're riding. Anyone new who turns up can
- become breathless as everyone in the pack takes a turn chatting to them and
- introducing themselves, giving tips on pack-riding, pacelines etc.
-
- I remember being awed by them at first as my gear etc is so grotty in
- comparison, but never recieved any hassles (except over the aero-bars!).
-
- In addition to this the training group comprises up to three different clubs!
-
- Anyone who wants to come along just ask - it's only in the middle of the South
- Pacific...
