- The first year we went out was two years ago and I was with my wife.
- We really only spent two days right around 85xx where the rainbow
- trail comes around (wheels spinning to remember the name) wherever it
- was we were. This summer I went back with some friends and we hiked
- over three peaks. I don't have the map here with me but the venebale
- lake area is nice. I was really taken with the whole range. Did you
- get over to the hot springs on the west side of the mountain? We
- usually go up to a hot springs near Mt. Prestone.
-
- BTW, has anyone done any hiking in Japan. I know some really fine
- spots in the Hokuriku area (I was in Fukui in high school for a year).
