- Hi everybody!
-
- I'm going to leave in a few days for a backcountry trip to the
- Grand Canyon. I'm interested in doing some trout fishing on the
- Colorado River, and I have a few questions.
-
- 1) The information I have says that an Arizona firshing license
- is required. Is a temporary one available? How much do they
- cost? Are they available at the South Rim (Grand Canyon
- Village)?
-
- 2) We would be fishing from the shore. Is this practical? What
- types of lures and/or flys would work best this time of year?
-
- 3) Are any areas of the river particularly productive? We're
- going to be on the river between Hance Rapids and the Little
- Colorado (river miles 61 to 76, approx), so I ask this mainly
- for future reference.
-
- 4) Does anyone have any experiences that they would like to
- share?
-
- Thanks in advance,
- Mike Zulauf
