  12. Following the idea that prevention is better than cure, it would interest me to  
  13. know if information is available about the (European) areas in which the vector  
  14. is endemic. Is the tick sensitive to temperature, less likely to be encountered  
  15. above a certain altitude, at a certain time of year, etc? Also, what are the  
  16. initial symptoms?
