- But, anyway, if Alchemy is history, that leaves me stuck, doesn't it?

-
- I'll think about SD-II *if* (i) I don't need the card and (ii) it'll talk
- to a DPM-SP (or at least to a SMDI-capable sampler) via SCSI and (iii) any
- MIDI hookup it attempts is via MIDI Manager. (i) is important because I
- have an SE/30 and two PowerBooks. (ii) is important because that's what I
- have. (iii) is important, even if I don't want to use SD-II MIDI, because I
- use OMS, several MIDI programs at once, and MIDI Time Piece interfaces.

-
- Sure, but it's no use to me, and I don't particularly want an onboard card
- (even if any of my Macs could hold one); I'm more interested in live
- performance, for which samplers are better suited.

-
- which isn't difficult; I was underwhelmed at the processing options offered
- by Alchemy.

-
- which is a feature I haven't needed to use anyway.
