  32.         I am co-chairman of the "PTF Education Committee" (PTF is
  33. Parent-Teacher-Fellowship) for a private, non-profit, Christian elementary/
  34. middle school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. We have two known-to-be-working Apples
  35. and one IBM PC. We also have an Apple that I have not looked at yet. The
  36. school's name is Isaac Newton Christian Academy. Money is tight, and
  37. the roof needs repair, so usually fund raising tends to be directed towards
  38. things other than computers. :-(
  39.  
  40.         We are, right now, working on establishing a "Computer Lab", which
  41. will include at least 1 of the systems set up for MIDI applications, and have
  42. been talking about soliciting donations.
  43.  
  44.     We ask that if you have ANY Apple II or MS-DOS MIDI/Audio items, that
  45. you would SERIOUSLY consider donating these to our school. Even if it is an 
  46. item that needs repair, we'd be happy to accept it IF we know the repair costs
  47. involved before it is shipped to us. We currently have one Yamaha (forget the
  48. model) basic full-size, 61 key, 4-voice piano that has MIDI in/out/thru.

  50.     Even though we will appreciate any donation, here are some specific
  51.     things we are looking for at this time:
  52.  
  53.         o  MIDI Capable Full-Size Keyboards
  54.         o  MIDI cards
  55.         o  Music Education software such as Ear training, music
  56.             reading, music theory, keyboard skills, etc.
  57.         o  Sequencing software
  58.         o  Sound modules or cards (perhaps someone is sick of
  59.             their MT-32?)
  60.         o  Amplifier/Speakers for Audio monitoring
  61.         o  Programmable Drum machines with built-in sounds
  62.  
  63.     REMEMBER... this is a BONA FIDE non-profit organization!
