- Crap! Really, I have a pair of Apogee Centaur Minors and they can really
- rock when paired with a good transistor amp (eg Aragon 2004 and Musical
- Fidelity A370 which I've tried). They are hybrid ribbon/woofer speakers.
- I presently drive them with a Michaelson Audio Odysseuss 45W valve amp
- and there is very little to touch the combonation. On the other hand,
- the best sound I've yet heard was Apogee Caliper Signatures played by the
- Musical Fidelity A370. Extremely accurate and pure sound---with very
- deep bass. The thing is that they reproduce bass like a double bass
- brilliantly, but don't cope as well with drum machines thudding in
- rock. The idea that ribbons accentuate their weak points must stem from
- very poor demonstrations/partnering equipment/
