- I've heard the difference between a Class A amp (Forte 4) and a Class
- AB amp, but I'm not quite sure I understand the principle behind a
- Class A/AB amp like a Classe or a McCormack. Is it user switchable?
- Does a certain music or playback component perfer a particular class?
- If so, it sounds as if you would get the best of both worlds...what's
- the sacrifice?
-
- Also I noticed that Music Reference makes an A/AB tube amp how does
- this differ from a solid state A/AB amp?
-
- Any enlightenment to my naivety is always welcome.
- Thanks,
- Dave
