- The short term may be fine, but I have a couple of more long-
- term items that you may want to consider:

- -1) How will that delicate preamp stage fare over the next few
- years after it spends a great deal of time next to that
- hot, noisy amplifier stage?

- -2) Another benefit of seperate components in addition to
- higher fidelity (which you mentioned is not a problem for
- you in this case) is greater flexibility. If you should
- want to upgrade/change your amp or preamp, you will not
- be forced to throw one component out with the other.

- I am not terribly worried about #1, since Acurus is a fine
- line of components. I would carefully consider the flexibility
- issue, however.
