  11. My ears like tight bass, excellent imaging, and clean sound.
  12. I listen at low to moderate volume.

  14. My wife likes pleasent sound that can be low enough that it doesn't
  15. intrude on conversations at a dinner party.

  17. To me an unobtrusive speaker, is one which doesnt seem to be the
  18. source of the sound when it's playing.  (The imageing is so good that
  19. the speaker seems to have as much to do with the sond as any of the
  20. other furniture in the room.)

  22. My wife thinks an unobtrusive speaker is one which she doesn't notice
  23. when she enters the room.  My current set of 4 foot tall coulumns,
  24. placed two feet out from the back wall and three feet from the side
  25. walls don't qualify.

  27. The question is, is there a set of speakers/stands which will
  28. satisfy us both?
