I don't normally read this group. However, it seems that I could benefit
greatly from your expertise. I own a JVC RX801 receiver which is connected to Infinity SM112's and pioneer surround channel speakers. The unit is hooked also to a VCR (a tv is on its AC outlet) and a CD player (plugged intothe receiver's outlet). My problem is that I get a REALLY annoying hum from my surround speakers--it's not the speakers I've actually hooked the surround channels to the Infinity's and it still hums. How can I get rid of this?---Any help would be appreciated.
Also--I have a computer in which I have a soundblaster pro. I hook up the soundblaster to one of the VCR inputs and it hums very annonyingly even when I'm not listening to the computer--is there an impedance problem? what can I do to fix it?---
