- Steve Owen gave a technical explanation of polarity inversion. Let me just
- add that flipping the polarity switch can make a significant difference in
- the quality of sound. I have some CDs that are shrill and irritating, until
- I reverse polarity and they seem more like music and I can enjoy them.
