- You may be wrong, but it may be my fault.

- 1. I've had nagging suspicions about my glib explanation of
- oversampling at the playback end. Some interpolation may be
- necessary. What with all the other things I want to do with my
- time, I haven't grunged through the math to compare sample
- repetition with sample interpolation.

- 2. In general, the Fourier techniques are more often used as an
- analysis tool, rather than an actual filter implementation.
- Naively (or abstractly) speaking, the FT assumes a signal that
- has infinite duration.

- 3. (Corollary of 2) If you oversample at the recording end, it is not
- necessarily the case that you need to FT->filter->IFT. More likely
- the filtering is performed digitally, but not necessarily using
- Fourier transforms.
