  33. Although the speakers make the biggest difference in the sound- after all,
  34. that's what you are listening to- the amplifier does make a difference in
  35. sound also, but not as big of a difference, unless you make a huge jump in
  36. quality. 
  37. I upgraded my system from a Technics receiver to Adcom separates, and I
  38. have noticed a considerable difference in the sound. Much smoother, more
  39. dynamic range, especially noticable at higher volumes. 
  40. Nakamichi is supposed to make very high quality stuff, but depending upon
  41. what you are going to use the receiver for, there are better alternatives.
  42. If you are going to use the receiver only for your stereo, I would suggest
  43. buying separates instead of a receiver. IMHO, much better sound for the
  44. same price.
