- Hey, I've been in this boat! It was not exactly clear from your description
- as to how you have your ULD hooked up, and this may be of no use. However,
- after setting up my VA 1012 (Hey, we're not all rich) the unit hummed much
- more than I would have liked.
-
- The problem? Bad ground, of course.
-
- The bad ground? The crappy feed from my local cable company, feeding into
- my VCR, feeding into my preamp, feeding into my brand-new sub.
-
- The solution? Unplug the cable when listening to music/tapes/Laserdiscs.
- Or build an isolation transformer.
