  20. Assuming of course that the PASC circuts are dropped for computer srorage, and
  21. that the important part of the MD is the MO read/write features, they seem
  22. promising for simple archival and other data not needed for random access.
  23. MD still suffers from the same problems CD-ROMs do with regard to variable 
  24. spin rates and inertia killing random seek times.  I still look forward to a 
  25. small portable disc capable of handling well over 100MB, but I do not expect
  26. it to replace my 250MB HD.
