- I was always under the assumption that one should be especially carefull not
- to scratch the front side (non-labeled) side of a disk. However, much to my
- dismay, my Paul Simon Graceland CD slipped from my grasp, skidded (label
- side down) across my wood floor. When I picked it up I noticed absolutely NO
- scratces on the playing side but it looked like someone took a brillo pad to
- the back. Now the CD mistracks like there is no tomorrow.
-
- Now my question. Would it be possible to repair the label side using one of
- those silver paint pens? How much reflection must be there in order for the
- reading lens to pick up the laser? Has anyone attempted a repair like this?
-
- Cheers,
- Eric
