- I actually LIKE the idea of making duplicates for my car. One of the reasons
- I never got a CD player for my car was that I don't want to carry a bunch
- of my favorite CDs around with me. When I want to play them on my home stereo,
- I like them to be where they are supposed to be - in my collection (why should
- I have to run down to my car to get them?). Also, with MD, you can make
- custom discs for the road.

- I agree completely! Most people who have cassettes now already have an
- analog deck. Why would you care if the new DCC deck played your old tapes?
- It sounds like a silly marketing gimmick to me! Also, if DAT did not make it
- in the consumer market, why does Phillips think DCC will (it's just a
- lower quality digital tape format!)?
