- OK, let me clarify a little. My 18+ year old (top loading) cassette deck
- just quit working recently. This is the first time since I bought it that
- I have been in the market for a new cassette deck. That's one of the reasons

- : Ok, that *was* a cheap shot. I don't know anything specifically about

- I am looking for something in the $200 to $300 range. So far I have not
- seen auto bias adjust on any other machines in that range. Are we talking
- about the same thing? Do you mean the gross bias adjust that is set by detecting
- tape type from indentions in the cassette shell, or fine bias adjust that I
- have only seen as a manual adjustment? I don't think I have seen fine bias
- adjust as an automatic feature on any other deck, but I have been out of the
- market for a long time so maybe I'm just hopelessly out of date.
