- Actually, it strikes me that for "Star Trek: The Next Generation" it's
- the libertarians who have the most complaints about the show, where the
- 24th Century seems to be a victory for the best of Euro-Canadian civil
- responsibility (i.e., Napoleon, Disraeli, Bismarck) and the best of US
- individual rights and freedom of expression seemed to have spliced
- together ... (hey, they will have had 300 years to figure that out (-;)

- Then again, the crowd that argues about what ships that Starfleet has
- had over the course of 200 years and the construction of the wheel of
- the Deep Space Nine space station (based purely on a few commercials)
- brings into question about some people's grip on reality and ... (-;
