- Speaking of silly time travel stories, Isaac Asimov did a short-short, called
- "A Loint of Paw". Probably collected in _The Early Asimov_, it's about a
- thief who uses a time machine to escape justice via the statute of
- limitations. He was caught on exiting the machine, and brought to court.
- The prosecutor claimed that he violated the spirit of the S-of-L.

- The thief's name was Murray Stein, and the judge's decision to free
- him was:
-
- "A niche in time saves Stein".

- This stinker brought to you by the memory cells of Pete Brooks.
