- Well, I would maintain that the Doctor was in love with Jo Grant. Especially
- noticably in The Green Death. He makes a remarkable and empassioned appeal to
- her to travel with him, something like "Oh can't you see I'm offering you all
- of time and space!" - literally begging her. I've never seen any Doctor *beg*
- anyone to travel with him before. He also seemed devasted at the end of the
- episode when she leaves him. Furthermore, I believe in Timelash it's revealed
- that the Doctor keeps a locket with her picture in it.
