  12.  I picked up two DW CD's today. They are: "DW - Earthshock" (FILMCD 709)
  13. and "DW - The Five Doctors" (FILMCD 710). These are the CD versions of
  14. the previously released "DW - The Music" and "DW - The Music II".
  15.  An interesting and pleasant format. Instead of a one whole story CD
  16. with repitious incidental music tracks, they have taken many stories and
  17. use a good selection of their music from each. Very unlike the "Fenric"
  18. and "Greatest Show" CD's (which are _very_ repitious).
  19.  
  20. Briefly, the stories from which music is taken on The Five Doctors are:
  21. Enlightment (7:54), The King's Demons (5:21), The Five Doctors (8:44),
  22. Warriors of the Deep (3:54), The Awakening (3:26), Ressurection of the
  23. Daleks (5:02), Planet of Fire (3:55), The Caves of Androzani (6:05) and
  24. the DW Theme from the beginning of season 18. Time of each track ^.

  26.  Stories from the Earthshock CD are: The Sea Devils, Meglos, Inferno
  27. (not in stereo, all others are), The Keeper of Traken, Four To Doomsday,
  28. The Leisure Hive, Arc of Infinity, Warrior's Gate, Kinda, Snakedance
  29. and, of course, Earthshock. It also includes the DW Theme music (opener
  30. and reprise) used from before season 18. Note: I didn't include track
  31. times this time because they are broken up to multiple tracks for each
  32. story (lazy typist 'tis I).

  34. These two CD's would prove an interesting addition to your DW library!

  36. Other noteworthy DW CD's: "The 25th Anniversary CD" and "Variations on a
  37. Theme" (4 tracks only). The latter is for the more experimental type of
  38. person (nice, though).

  41.  Something else I bought today:

  43.  "The Universal Databank" by Jean-Marc Lofficier. ISBN 0-426-20370-4
  44. This is the third book in his "Programme Guide" `trilogy'. It's a quite
  45. impressive update the the original "Doctor Who - Programme Guide, Vol. 1
  46. -  What's What and Who's Who". 479 pages, which includes 7 pages listing
  47. the errors he made previously (common practice by now).
  48.  One complaint, which is left over from his "Terrestrial Index" - He
  49. continues to rewrite the times that some stories took place. ie: He
  50. based all the U.N.I.T. stories' time of ocurrance on Mawdryn Undead. :(
  51. Wrong, wrong, wrong. But, I will not get as upset this time 'round.
