- I really can't comment on "The Great Mouse Detective", as I've
- only seen it once, when it first came out. We did buy the video -- it's
- a Christmas gift for my son, so I'll be watching it again soon :)

- The plots for both were pretty standard. I contend that, for a
- comedy/adventure movie, plot and characterization come secondary to the
- action and comedy. Some of the greatest adventure movies of all time have
- very little plot and no characterization or character development --
- look at the "Indiana Jones" movies. All you have to have is a "good
- enough" plot to carry the action. RDU has this.

- BTW, it also has GREAT music. If you have the tape, check this
- out: the very first sound you hear is also the very last sound you
- hear.
