  27.     I really can't comment on "The Great Mouse Detective", as I've
  28. only seen it once, when it first came out.  We did buy the video -- it's
  29. a Christmas gift for my son, so I'll be watching it again soon :)

  40.     The plots for both were pretty standard.  I contend that, for a
  41. comedy/adventure movie, plot and characterization come secondary to the
  42. action and comedy.  Some of the greatest adventure movies of all time have
  43. very little plot and no characterization or character development --
  44. look at the "Indiana Jones" movies.  All you have to have is a "good
  45. enough" plot to carry the action.  RDU has this.

  47.     BTW, it also has GREAT music.  If you have the tape, check this
  48. out:  the very first sound you hear is also the very last sound you
  49. hear.
