  11. According to Prof. Walter Williams on the National Business Report, the
  12. aggregate income of all Americans earning over $200,000 per year is
  13. $209 billion. Therefore, if you simply confiscated *all* the income of
  14. the rich, we would not eliminate the deficit, which some projections
  15. estimate at $400 billion next year.

  17. And if you did confiscate all their income, what would you do about the
  18. next tax year? People don't work for nothing.

  20. Clearly, although "tax the rich" makes great campaign rhetoric, to finance
  21. the government spending programs the tax increases will have to dig deep
  22. into the middle class.
