- What is the fascination with grooved pavement on TV Highway?
-
- It seems like once a year, somebody (the highway department? teenage
- pranksters? aliens?) goes through and grooves the pavement on
- sections of TV Highway more or less at random between Murray Road and
- Hillsboro. It then sits that way for months before anybody comes
- along and repaves it.
-
- Why? If it's preparation for resurfacing, it would seem like it would
- only stay that way for a little while before they take care of it. If
- it's supposed to help with traction, then why aren't all the roads
- that way? If it's to get people to slow down, why not just put a few
- speed traps out there?
-
- I don't understand.
