- I think you may find that there are some hidden gotcha's here. If it's
- a wooden pole, its got preservatives in it that will leach out into
- your soil and into the groundwater at a much higher rate if it's layed
- over on its side. I believe there may be some prohibitions against
- such secondary uses. And besides, it is probably not a good idea. I
- would ask the utility company to remove it and dispose of it.
