  10. I use a unix machine to ftp to various sites.  
  11. My problem is that while I am proficient at getting 
  12. what I want from where it is at,  I am not truely versed in ftp commands.
  13.   As examples: I do not know how to read a file that is at another 
  14. site other than to transfer the file to my own site, exit ftp, 
  15. and then read the file. Kind of awkward. 
  16. Also, I do not know how to change my home directory or check
  17. my own computer directories when I am linked to another site.
  18.   The ftp help command is somewhat useful, but it is lacking;
  19. assuming that there are more commands than those listed.
  20. Reply direct to me if you wish. I am looking for files, groups, 
  21. BOOKS, or any other info that is readily available that I have
  22. obviously overlooked.

  24. Keep flames to yourselves if I have tread on something/someone 
  25. mistakenly.  If we were all perfect and all knowing we wouldn't
  26. need the internet.
