- The book is probably not worth very much. There were some 30,000 copies
- printed for the first edition of Bachman, but this was expanded to some
- 300,000 when it was revealed that Bachman was really King. As of a few
- years ago, you could pick one of these up for little more than original
- price. I'm not sure if the value has gone up or not. There is a book
- called the Stephen King Companion that contains information about
- the publishing history of King's books. One more thing you might
- consider is that book club editions are really just copies of the
- book and not worth as much as the "first editions" from the original
- publisher. I think there is now a book club reprinting the earlier
- King books, including Thinner. I do not think that these are worth
- money. You may wish to phone a bookstore that specializes in
- Stephen King (yes, they exist!)
-
- Hope that helps, Todd
