  20. Listen, my intentions are something like this.  I saw a lot of people,
  21. many of them respected net.citizens (such as Paul Pomes, who I've had
  22. the pleasure to work with on several occasions over the years),
  23. complaining about this site which appears to be based in Minnesota.  I
  24. looked into it a bit and noticed that your site was helping to
  25. propagate the material people were complaining about and I, being a
  26. relatively nice person I like to think, was trying to be helpful and
  27. see if you were aware of what this person on zuma.UUCP was doing.

  29. You are obviously not ignorant of Usenet and are aware of your actions
  30. and the actions of the site to which you provide a feed.

  32. As a person local to all of this, I thought it a rather responsible
  33. thing of me to try some form of communication.  Other people in
  34. news.admin.policy had little luck trying to contact you via email.
  35.  
  36. Usenet is an anarchy with some social conventions that people *usually*
  37. choose to follow.  And as long as someone is willing to feed you and
  38. zuma.UUCP, you can spew out whatever y'all want.  There is clearly
  39. nothing I can do either in cutting the garbage or education; I can
  40. happily add all of this to my killfiles and go about my business.
