  55. I went to one of these, and it was about what I expected--some tips on this
  56. and that, plus (the main part) a sales pitch for his tapes and books. 
  57. Since I didn't expect much, and didn't get much, I was satisfied enough.  I
  58. regarded it as an afternoon out, and practice in driving somewhere without
  59. getting lost.

  61. He's got a pretty good pitch, I guess, because a lot of people were
  62. shelling out a couple of hundred bucks apiece for the tapes, books, etc. 
  63. (Habits of un-wealth protect me from -ever- spending that kind of money on
  64. impulse.)  McCollister makes it sound like the stuff is wonderful, and
  65. claims that this is your only chance for this half-price offer, but
  66. (knowing that he was doing several sessions in the area over a couple of
  67. days), I figured I'd be able to walk into another session and not have my
  68. money rejected if I decided I wanted to buy.  (I didn't, though.)

  71. five or ten words equals five dollars a word.)
