- My father has 5 - acres fully tree on the side of a mountain.
- With his 18 horsepower Bolens Tractor we pull 20 - 30 foot sections
- of 1-2 foot diameter trees up his slope with no problem.

- With a winch mounted at the back of the tractor, lift the near end of the
- log about a foot off the ground, then also secure it with a rope or chain
- to lower part of the tractor. This will keep the log a fixed distance from
- the tractor. If you have a decent set of knobby rear tires the log will
- slide along no problem.
