- My grandmother has recently taken ill and will probably spend the rest of her
- life in a nursing home. Medicare is currently paying for care, but her limit
- is about to run out(100 days).
-
- She does have a property that will be taken by the state to help pay for
- expenses after the hundred days. The family does have power of attorney of
- her assets. Is there a way we can sell the home just prior to it being
- confiscated by the state?
-
- We've already talked to a lawyer and getting answers from him is like pulling
- teeth. He still hasn't answered the question forthright.
-
- Any responses would be greatly appreciated.
